Sandra Day O'Connor

Just got an e-mail from Planned Parenthood... Sandra Day O'Connor resigned from the Supreme Court today.

This is when I start to get nervous about Bush being in the White House.

Why is that? Just parroting everyone else who fancies themself a "liberal", or do you have some particular reason for being "nervous"?

PLEASE, don't say it's because of the 'potential impact to Roe v Wade' either - since the court overstepped itself and actually "legislated" in that decision, they deserve to revisit it and make changes.

I'm generally not in the business of replying to comments that come from those who so lack confidence in their words that they feel they must hide behind the mask of anonymity.

On the other hand, ignoring Roe v Wade entirely, the current administration has repeatedly been shown to disagree with me on citizens' rights in general. (The PATRIOT Act is a prime example.) So yes, I am concerned that the type of judge that Bush would appoint would not respect what I deem to be our fundamental rights as citizens.
